Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking your private boat tour. Can't find your answer? Email us directly.
How many people can join a tour?
Our boat holds a maximum of 5 guests. We strictly respect this limit for safety and comfort — every guest deserves space to relax and enjoy the Adriatic.
Is the price per person or per group?
All prices are per group, not per person. Whether you are 1 or 5 guests, the price is the same. This makes Dubrovnik Unwind exceptional value for groups of 3 or more.
What is included in the price?
All tours include: licensed captain, fuel, water, beer, wine, soda, snorkeling gear, and full safety equipment. Full-day tours also include a stop on the island of Sipan with local wine tasting and authentic island food.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are unsafe for sailing, we will contact you as early as possible to reschedule or cancel the tour. In case of cancellation due to weather, you receive a full refund. We monitor forecasts closely and never sail when conditions could put guests at risk.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Yes. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of departure are non-refundable unless due to weather conditions. Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.
Where do we meet?
We meet at Dubrovnik Old Town Port. We operate from one of two available piers depending on the day — we will confirm the exact pier 24 hours before your tour. The Port is easily accessible on foot from the Old Town.
Do you offer pickup from hotels or apartments?
Yes — we can arrange a water taxi pickup directly from your accommodation for an additional charge, depending on location. You can request this when completing your booking and we will confirm availability and pricing.
Is it safe for children?
Absolutely. We welcome families with children of all ages. Life jackets are available in all sizes and we adapt the pace of the tour for families. We always ask parents to let us know in advance if they are travelling with young children so we can prepare accordingly.
Do I need to know how to swim?
No. Swimming is optional — you are never required to enter the water. However, many guests choose to swim and snorkel at our stops. Life jackets are available for non-swimmers or anyone who prefers extra safety.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes, you are welcome to bring anything extra you like. We already provide water, beer, wine, and soft drinks as standard. For full-day tours, lunch is included as part of the island experience on Sipan.
How do I pay?
You can choose to pay in cash on the day, or pay securely online in advance via Stripe. For online payment, you will receive a secure payment link after submitting your booking request.
Can you organise a proposal or special occasion?
Yes — and we love doing it. Choose the Custom Charter option and tell us about your plans. We will help design the perfect route, timing, and any special touches to make the occasion unforgettable. Contact us directly at info@dubrovnikunwind.com.
Is sunscreen allowed?
Please use reef-safe, mineral-based sunscreen. Chemical sunscreens are harmful to the marine environment and the caves we visit. We ask all guests to respect the sea.
What should I bring?
We recommend: comfortable clothing and a light cover-up, swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses, and any personal medications. We provide everything else on board.
